| My first custom archetype. These Scarecrowes have a little bit of a split personality. All of these monsters share the effect of "You can treat this card as "HayKrow (Name)" Until the end of your opponents turn." This archetype proves to be one of the most difficult to use, as you must decide to treat them as "Scarecrowes" or "HayKrows". As card effects work for only 1 certain name. 12/7/11-*UPDATE*-Fixed effects to make the deck less broken. Added new cards for more fun! - Scarecrowe Hayze:
Attribute: Earth Level: 2 Type:Warrior/Tuner ATK/500 I DEF/2500 Effect: You can have this card be treated as "HayKrow Hayze" until the end of your opponents turn. While you control another face up "HayKrow" monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.
- Scarecrowe Fainte:
Attribute: Earth Level: 3 Type: Warrior/Effect ATK/1000 I DEF/2000 Effect: You can have this card be treated as "HayKrow Fainte" until the end of your opponents turn. The effects of your opponents cards that target a face-up "HayKrow" monster, are negated. This card loses 200 ATK and 500 DEF during each of your Standby Phases.
- Scarecrowe Lyste:
Attribute: Earth Level: 4 Type: Warrior/Effect ATK/200 I DEF/1200 Effect: You can have this card be treated as "HayKrow Lyste" until the end of your opponents turn. If this card is used for the XYZ or Synchro summon of a "HayKrow" monster, you must destroy 2 cards on either side of the field.
- HayKrow Gaine:
Attribute: Earth Level: 9 Type Warrior/Synchro/Effect ATK/2200 I DEF/3000 Effect: 1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuner "HayKrow" monsters You can have this card be treated as "Scarecrowe Gaine" until the end of your opponents turn. Each time you change the name of a "Scarecrowe" monster, you destroy 1 card on your opponents side of the field.
- Scarecrowe Typo!:
Type: Quickplay Spell Effect:Until the end of this turn, your opponent cannot select a face-up "HayKrow" monster you control, as an attack target.
- Scarecrowe Puppets:
Type: Quickplay Spell Effect: Your opponent destroys 1 card they control. Then, give your opponent control of a face-up "HayKrow" monster on your side of the field, until the end phase.
- Scarecrowe Buttons:
Type: Quickplay Spell Effect: All "HayKrow" monsters, you control, gain 1200 ATK for each face-up "HayKrow' XYZ or Synchro monster on the field, until the end phase.
- Scarecrowe Maze:
Type: Quickplay Spell Effect: All monsters your opponent controls are treated as "HayKrow Lamb" until the end of the turn.
- Dying Crops:
Type: Field Spell Effect: All "HayKrow" monsters you control gain 800 ATK. While this card is face-up on the field, "Scarecrowe" monsters you control are not effected by your opponents card effects.
- Scarecrowe Trigger Finger:
Type: Trap Effect: Special Summon as many "Scarecrowe" monsters from your graveyard as possible. They must attack, if able, and your opponent gains life equal to the combined DEF of all monsters Special Summoned this way.
- Scarecrowe Raindown:
Type: Trap Effect: Reduce the ATK of all "HayKrow" monsters you control to 0, until the end of the turn. This turn, they cannot be destroyed by battle.
- Scarecrowe Traxe:
Attribute: Earth Level: 5 Type: Warrior/Effect ATK/2200 I DEF/0 Effect: You can special summon this card from your graveyard if you control 2 0r more "HayKrow" monsters. You can treat this card as "HayKrow Traxe" until the end of your opponents turn.
- Scarecrowe Zaile:
Attribute: Earth Level: 1 Type: Warrior/Tuner ATK/1400 I DEF/0 Effect: You can treat this card as "HayKrow Zaile" until the end of your opponents turn. You can Special Summon this card from your hand if you control 2 or more "HayKrow" Monsters.
- HayKrow Draine:
Attribute: Earth Level: 7 Type: Warrior/Synchro/Effect ATK/2500 I DEF/2000 Effect: You can treat this card as "Scarecrowe Draine" until the end of your opponents turn. Once per turn, you can change the name of a face-up monster on the field to "Scarecrowe Tributary" until the end of the turn.
- Scarecrowe Blank!?:
Type: Trap Effect: The effects of your opponents monsters are negated until the end of the turn. Then, change the name of a face-up "HayKrow" monster you control to "Scarecrowe Lenko" until the end of the turn.
- Scarecrowe Blastshield:
Type: Continuous Trap Effect: Negate the effects of your opponents trap cards. During each of your end phases, destroy 1 "HayKrow" monster you control, or destroy this card.
- Scarecrowe Introversion:
Type: Spell Destroy all Spell and Traps you conrol, Banish the top 4 cards of your deck, and destroy all cards your opponent controls. You can only activate this card while you control only 1 face-up "Haykrow" monster. You cannot Normal summon OR Special summon the turn you activate this card.
- HayKrow Straine:
Attribute: Earth Rank: 4 Type: Warrior/XYZ/Effect ATK/2300 I DEF/300 Effect: 2 Level 4 "HayKrow" Monsters You can treat this card as "Scarecrowe Straine" the end of your opponents turn. You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card to search your deck for a Field Spell card; Add it to your hand.

| Overall the archetype is interesting, I'd probably like to build a deck with these cards sometime, but they need a little work first. Check spoilers for reviews on the cards. - Scarecrowe Fainte:
Attribute: Earth Level: 3 Type: Warrior/Effect ATK/1000 I DEF/2000 Effect: You can have this card be treated as "HayKrow Fainte" until the end of your opponents turn. The effects of your opponents cards that target a face-up "HayKrow" monster, are negated. This card loses 200 ATK during each of your Standby Phases.
Review: Decent card, dont get the point of the 200 ATK loss though, especially since its better in Defense Position.
- Scarecrowe Lyste:
Attribute: Earth Level: 4 Type: Warrior/Effect ATK/200 I DEF/1200 Effect: You can have this card be treated as "HayKrow Lyste" until the end of your opponents turn. If this card is used for the XYZ or Synchro summon of a "HayKrow" monster, destroy 2 cards on the field.
Review: I'm rather unsure about this one, killing off 2 of your opponents cards is rather powerful effect, and it doesn't seem that difficult to pull it off, the card itself is easily searchable, and easy to summon, also get 2 of these and a Level 1 tuner and you can kill off 4 of your opponents cards.
- HayKrow Gaine:
Attribute: Earth Level: 9 Type Warrior/Synchro/Effect ATK/2200 I DEF/3000 Effect: 1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuner "HayKrow" monsters You can have this card be treated as "Scarecrowe Gaine" until the end of your opponents turn. Each time you change the name of a "Scarecrowe" monster, destroy 1 card on your opponents side of the field.
Review: Probably fine, though with Scarecrowe Lyste, I don't really know for sure, just seems like too much destruction
- Scarecrowe Puppets:
Type: Quickplay Spell Effect: Your opponent destroys 2 cards they control. Then, give your opponent control of a face-up "HayKrow" monster on your side of the field, until the end phase.
Review: This card is most likely broken, you get to -2 your opponent, possibly inflict so major battle damage by giving your opponent a weak monster, or just get your monster back (if you use this at the End Phase this card effectively reads "Your opponent destroys 2 cards they control"), I suggest either make it only destroy 1 card, or add some kind of cost to it.
- Scarecrowe Maze:
Type: Quickplay Spell Effect: All monsters your opponent controls are treated as "HayKrow Lamb" until the end of the turn.
Review: Fun card, kills Archetypes, though you might want to add something to make it less splashable.
- Crop Circles:
Type: Field Spell Effect: All "HayKrow" monsters you control gain 800 ATK. While this card is face-up on the field, "Scarecrowe" monsters you control are not effected by your opponents card effects.
Review: The immunity to card effects is probably fine, though I'd have to actually run the set to know for sure. More importantly there is already a TCG card with the name Crop Circles.
- Scarecrowe Trigger Finger:
Type: Trap Effect: Special Summon as many "Scarecrowe" monsters from your graveyard as possible. They must attack, if able, and your opponent gains life equal to the combined ATK of all monsters Special Summoned this way.
Review: This one is broken, get 2 Lyste in your Graveyard, summon a Level 1 tuner, play this and Synchro, good bye 4 of your opponents cards, and you have a rather decent monster, and your opponent gains 400 Life Points. Pureflame Eruption type cards are tricky, you have to concider the entire archetype when making them.
On a final note, when making cards, try to copy text from existing cards (if a card exists with the effect you want to use), that way you can keep the grammar closer to the actual cards. I'd also suggest reading Konami's articles on problem solving card text, which outlines the rules of the new card grammar. - Problem Solving Card Text:
